Free Indirect Speech（自由間接引語(yǔ)）: Austen is most renowned for her development of free indirect speech, a technique pioneered by 18th-century novelists Henry Fielding and Frances Burney.,Austens novels appeared in the early 19th century which swept away the tide of false romanticism, inherited and developed the outstanding realistic tradition of 18th century, and prepared for the appearance of the climax of realism novels in 19th century.
